Weekend Recap August 16-31!

Hey Everyone!

Sorry for the delayed post! We had some issues with the pictures from each wedding the past couple of weddings. This post will have descriptions of each wedding and pictures from Jana & Joseph's and Adrienne & Jason's weddings. We hope everyone had a good Labor Day weekend! Enjoy!

August 16th: Rachel & Glenn
They chose to have a "key to my heart" feel to the wedding. When you walked in you were welcomed by their colors turquoise, ivory, and silver, as well as a wonderful refurbished mirror used as a seating chart. The seating chart was made of individual keys with guest names, table numbers, and a "well wishes" card attached. Rachel and Glenn really incorporated their own personality into their reception considering a traditional German march was performed outside before they started the formal dances. They also had a photo booth provided by Magek Photography and an amazing candy bar. Congratulations Rachel & Glenn!

August 17th: Jana & Joseph

Congratulations Jana & Joseph!

August 23rd: Ashley & Jason
Ashley is a Police Officer and Jason is a Firefighter, so of course they had to incorporate their careers into the wedding! Ashley gave Jason a gold plated gun as a wedding gift and they took pictures back to back showing off both of their guns. A dispatcher from Lake Jackson (where Jason is a Firefighter) made a shout out to the newlyweds while performing a route test call to the other First Responders. They also threw in a little personality with some home-brewed kegs for their guests.
Congratulations Ashley & Jason!

August 31st: Adrienne & Jason:

Congratulations Adrienne & Jason!

We had a wonderful August! September is officially here and we're loving it! We will be closed on Sunday the 7th, 21st, and 28th this month. Give us a call at 281-557-5551 or email us if you have any questions!

Weekend Recap Aug. 8-10!

Hey Everyone!

We had a very vintage weekend at Butler's Courtyard! All three brides had their own spin on their vintage decorations. Kasey had a vintage library theme with books galore!

Sarah had a glamorous, elegant vintage feel with champagne and blush colors.

Chrissy had a very simple vintage wedding with a replica of her grandmother's cake and crocheted doilies on every table. She also had little jars of preserves as favors!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Don't forget about our video testimonial session this Friday! Give us a call at 281-557-5551 if you want to participate!

Keep an eye out for next this weekend's weddings featuring Rachel & Glenn and Jana & Joseph!

Weekend Recap!

Hi Everyone!

We hope you had a great weekend, we sure did! Saturday was our only wedding day at Butler's Courtyard so it was a much slower, yet relaxing, weekend for us. Congrats to Kimbra and Judson, for getting married of course, and for the beautiful weather they got so lucky with (since when did it start feeling like Fall in August, we live in Houston right?)! Since we didn't have a wedding on Sunday, we closed the office. If anyone emailed or called we should have gotten back to you on Tuesday. If not, try to touch base with us again. We will also be closed Sunday, August 24th.

Another thing not mentioned in our last blog was our video testimonal session we will be holding on August 15th between 10am-12pm and 2pm-5pm. If you can't make it, no worries! Just email us a written or video testimonial at info@butlerscourtyard.com or log onto The Knot or Weddingwire and leave a review. Anything is greatly appreciated, we love reviews!

That's all for this past weekend. Here's some pictures of Kimbra and Judson's wedding for you to enjoy!

Look forward to next week's Weekend Recap featuring Kasey and Sean, Sarah and Garret, and Christina and Michael's weddings!

Have a great weekend!

The Blog is Back!

Hey Everyone!

We're bringing our Butler's Blog back! Our last (and only post before this) was almost two years ago and we decided to bring it back to life! We will be posting pictures, events, ideas, and news straight from Butler's Courtyard. Stay tuned!

First of all, I want to thank everyone that came to our Open House this past Sunday! It was so wonderful seeing our brides and their families, as well as some new brides seeing what we're all about! Another big thank you to all of our preferred vendors that were here as well.

Second, I'd like to introduce myself and our current staff. I'm Brianna, the Head of Sales here at Butler's Courtyard. You've probably seen me in the office or at the Bridal Extravaganza. Our current Coordinators are Morgan, Nancy, and Janice. Morgan has been with Butler's for about a year and a half and we couldn't have asked for someone with more passion for weddings than she does! Nancy and Janice are our Owners and they decided to start coordinating weddings again starting this month! Your date determines who your Coordinator is but anyone in our Office can answer any questions you have. A few other faces you'll start seeing in the Office more are Ronnie (Nancy's husband) and Amber (Nancy and Ronnie's daughter). During the events you'll see Jerren, our Event Manager, and all of our wonderful event staff! If you have any questions about anything don't hesitate to ask. That's what we're all here for!

Top row (left to right): Marie (Kitchen Manager), Tristan,  Jerren (Event Manager), Jamie, Eddie, Tim (Bartender), Chris, DJ Mark, and DJ David.
Middle Row (left to right): Shelby, Missy, Moran (Coordinator), Ronnie (Owner), Nancy        (Owner/Coordinator), Janice (Owner/Coordinator), Brianna (Head of Sales), Tina, Amber (Office Manager), and Jose.
Bottom Row (left to right): Joy, Kaylee, Aubrey, Erin, and Savannah.

Look forward to our next blog in about a week! In the meantime, give us a call at 281-557-5551 or email at info@butlerscourtyard.com for any additional information or questions.

Have a wonderful week!

Changes For The Better

Changes For The Better

This summer we're introducing a new way for you to follow what's happening at Butler's Courtyard - through a blog. A blog means that the team at Butler's Courtyard can talk about the various aspects of our facility and services. And better still, you can comment, give us input and help on our continuing road to excellence. You probably have got to the blog itself through the web site - we built it into the site as a separate section. You can also go directly to it in future by bookmarking this page.

You'll also notice some changes on our web site, in addition to directly accessing to this Blog - changes which we hope will make our site even more useful and informative.

The main web site changes are:

Photo Albums - we use a Google service called Picasa to organize, hold and show our library of photos albums on the web site at present, and in the future on Facebook and this Blog. Albums range from photo tours of our main facility, to tours of our on-site Brides residence (Rose Cottage) and Grooms residence (Grooms Shop) and include recent weddings. With the proliferation of smart phones and tablets, we needed to provide technology that worked on these devices, as well as personal computers. So you'll notice now that all our web site photo albums can now be viewed or any device. And the viewing options have been extended to include slide shows, full sized individuals photos and whole album photos. And all photos can be downloaded for you to share.

Videos - we have always had the video we made with The Bridal Extravaganza on our site - it provides an effective way for brides to meet Nancy & Janice and see our facilities. Videos, although a wedding feature in the recent past, have increased in quantity and quality - now we plan to also include the exceptional ones on the web site. Our first video - made by Sculpting With Time Productions for Yoomi and Oliver's recent Butler's Courtyard wedding - is astonishing; almost an art form. Do look for it on the site, you will not be disappointed.

Open Houses - we've removed the web site calendar and replaced it with side-bar announcements in both the Welcome and Next Step sections. The announcement stand out more, and don't get lost in the computerized calendar itself.
